Your Initial Visit with Dr. Barnett or Dr. Ku
The infertility evaluation begins with a thorough interview by one of our physicians. Unlike many programs, whereby the initial interview is conducted by a nurse or nurse practitioner, at Dallas IVF, all patient interviews are carried out by either Dr. Barnett or Dr. Ku, and commonly last about an hour. At this consultation, your medical history is reviewed along with any prior testing and treatments. Additionally, Dr. Ku or Dr. Barnett will determine if any additional testing, beyond what may have already been done, should be ordered. Determining your obstacle for conceiving is essential before a treatment plan can be created and tailored to give you the best opportunity to conceive.
Experiencing problems of infertility can be overwhelming and challenging. At the initial visit, and with all visits, couples are given ample opportunity to ask questions. Dr. Barnett and Dr. Ku are prepared to help you understand the diagnostic tests and options available, to assist you in managing your infertility as well as prepare and support you for the difficult journey ahead.
