Lowell T. Ku, MD, our Frisco fertility specialist, also trained in Family Medicine

Dr. Lowell Ku was born in Dallas and raised in Flower Mound. After graduating from St. Mark’s High School, he attended Emory University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in music/cello performance. Dr. Ku served as president of numerous academic and leadership organizations and was honored with the National Scholar’s Award at Emory.

Our Frisco fertility specialist earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where he also served as class president all four years. Dr. Ku went on to complete training and serve as chief resident in the nationally recognized family medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. He then entered into private practice in Houston.

Dr. Ku then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at John Peter Smith Hospital where he served as chief resident. After OB/Gyn residency, Dr. Ku completed a three-year fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

During his OB/Gyn residency, Dr. Ku published award-winning research papers. He was also honored with numerous recognitions, including the Outstanding Medical Specialty Resident Award in 2004 and 2005, and an award for Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures.

Our Frisco fertility specialist has published and presented numerous papers in the fields of PCOS, frozen embryos and the effects of estrogen deficiency upon the immune system.

He has appeared in numerous publications and websites such as Disney Family and Redbook. Numerous recognitions include:

After having helped thousands of patients, Dr. Ku and his wife experienced infertility. IVF and a resolve to become parents enabled the couple to bring home two children. Dr. Ku lives in Frisco with his wife and children. He serves his community and hometown as a Frisco fertility specialist.
